Blyth, Northumberland, coble under repair
Coble BH39 is seen from the starboard side under repair on the ground outside a shed at Blyth. The forward section of the starboard sheer plank has been replaced, in Douglas fir, as yet unpainted. Behind the boat's port side stands a boatbuilder, with the angled sawn timbers showing how the as yet un-refitted sheer planks will 'tumble home' at an angle very different from the planks below them.
