Blyth, Northumberland, coble repaired
The repaired coble BH39 is seen here from above amidships, the view forward to the bows showing which planks and sawn timbers have been replaced and painted, and highlighting the mast step on the keel. Thwarts have yet to be replaced. In front of the coble is a clinker-built fishing boat of similar dimensions but different lines, seen from the port side, and beyond that, a picket fence and further sheds and single-storey buildings.
