This view of the Dover galley Princess is taken from the starboard side, just forward of amidships, facing seawards while beached in front of Dover's chalk cliffs with buildings behind it across the harbour road. The Chatham Directory of Inshore Craft records that the Princess was 29ft 1" in length, with a beam of 5ft 4" and a depth of 2ft.
