Dover fore-mizzen punt Argonaut

This view of the Dover punt Argonaut, regd DR56, ca. 18ft, is taken from the starboard stern quarter with crab pots to the right, and in the background, a long terrace of four-storey hotels and other buildings stretching westwards below chalk cliffs. The view shows the punt's starboard topside clinker planks to be doubled, as negative P76199 shows in respect of the port side. The 'full-bellied' section amidships contrasts strongly with the depth of the deadrise below the Argonaut's narrow transom.
