Dover fore-mizzen punt Argonaut

This view of the Dover punt Argonaut, regd DR56, ca. 18ft, is taken from just forward of the foremost thwart looking back over this and the three thwarts aft of it, and over the transom. The unstayed mizzen mast's haliard is fastened to the starboard end of a transverse timber at gunwale level just forward of the transom. To the left of the Argonaut three men stand on a stone pier, while in the outer harbour are a steamer and a Thames spritsail barge, the latter not under sail.
