Dover motor galley punt Maple Leaf

A Dover motor galley punt, the Maple Leaf, regd DR41, is seen here close up amidships, looking forward to a bulkhead some 4ft aft of the stem. A pulley is set into the stemhead. Two posts are fitted, at this bulkhead and against a forward thwart, and to the latter of these a light spar is attached, presumably part of the galley punt's fishing equipment. Hanging from the gunwale are four fenders made of unknown materials, resembling stacked flower pots in shape and encased in some type of elastic fabric.
