Eastbourne lugger Star of the East
This bow-on view of the Eastbourne lugger Star of the East, regd NN66, shows the boat heeled over to starboard resting on chocks, while chocks on the port side have apparently been removed. The photographer is apparently astride the windlass chain attached to the Star of the East's forefoot. The view accentuates the full form and flat floors of the boat amidships. Nets hang over the boat's port gunwale. The handles of oars lashed to the topsides below the gunwale are visible to starboard.
