Eastbourne sprat boats

The Eastbourne sprat boat William Dorothy, regd NN45, is seen from behind its broad counter stern, beached at Eastbourne, although no detail of the background inland of the boat is visible in this view. Forward of the boat, which appears to be about 18ft in length, is a winch on the shingle beach and to the right is visible only the stern of a larger, clinker-built motorised fishing boat of similar lines.
