Negative
In this image an upturned Eastbourne sprat boat is seen from astern, beached on shingle facing two-storey fishermen's huts and a lamp post. This boat has a concave planked counter stern and a relatively shallow keel in contrast with the deep deadrise of the lute-sterned sprat boat William Dorothy depicted in negatives P76220-222. The large mark on the transom may be paint around the hole through which the rudder stock passes when in place. The transom bears no name or port registration.
