St Ives, motor gig sailing
A St Ives lugger described in H.O. Hill's notebook reference as a motor gig, and named as the Constance, is seen from abeam sailing before the wind with the foresail and mizzen goosewinged. The boat is transom-sterned and clinker-built, and some 25ft in length, with the helmsman and two crew on board.
