St Ives pilchard driver. Last sailing pilchard driver fishing from Newlyn
The Agnes, a St Ives pilchard driver regd SS464, purported to be the last of its type to work under sail, is seen from the starboard and windward side, sailing out of Newlyn harbour past the main pier, on smooth water. Four crew members including the helmsman indicate the length of the Agnes - ca. 40ft. A number of people stand on the pierhead.
