Newlyn, landing pilchards
A Newlyn lugger, the Emulate, regd PZ208 is seen from the starboard side moored aground in shallow water, its bow against the slipway of Newlyn's old harbour, unloading its catch. The flat water of the harbour reflects the boat's profile. The Emulate has a fore-lugsail and lug mizzen, but has had a wheelhouse fitted before the latter's mast. It has a transom stern.
