St Ives seine boats hauled up at st Ives

Six of St Ives' fleet of seine boats are hauled up at angles of ca. 30 degrees at the landward edge of Porthminster beach, below the St Ives railway station and the foot of Tregenna Hill. Only the stern half of the nearest boat to the camera is in shot, the remainder being obscured by neighbouring vessels to different degrees. Both the straight, equally-raked stem- and sternposts and the very slight sheerline of the second-nearest boat to the camera show the typical lines of the seine boat type.
