Four children looking towards a Japanese temple on an island

An uncaptioned colourised landscape photograph of four children with their backs to the camera, looking across water to a temple on an island. Each child wears a patterned kimono, with either a striped or chevron pattern. Two of the children, closer to the camera, stand on wooden stepladder attached to wooden table or platform to the left of the image. The other two children, further away from the camera, stand on a flat rock to the right of the image. There is also a round object made of rope and/or basketwork visible in the foreground in the bottom right of the photograph. A stretch of water separates the children from the island, which is covered in trees and bushes, meaning only the roof of the temple is visible. A sloping hillside can be seen in the background, to the left of the image.
