'The battle of the Texel, 11-21 August 1673': according to Robinson (oils cat vol 1 p.205) this and the rest of the set of six (acq, nos 31-16 to 31-21) are probably studio versions with no help directly from the Elder and 'certainly none' from the Younger [PvdM 11/11]
