Wivern (1863) and Scorpion (1863)
Scale 1:48. Plan shows the lower deck, hold and sections of the ironclad turret rams Wivern (1863) and Scorpion (1863). The vessels false names of EL Mounassir (for Wivern) and El Toussoun (later renamed Scorpion) are included in the title. The Laird Brothers builder's stamp is in the bottom left corner. An 1864 Admiralty letter reference number is written just above the title. This indicates the Admiralty took an interest in these drawing but also indicates these drawings were made around 1864. The plan has been mounted on acid free cartridge paper
