The coble Hilda at Sunderland, Durham

A port broadside view of the coble Hilda being rowed by a man on the River Wear at Sunderland The Hilda has the name J Rush painted on her quarter and she is flying her name pennant from a small pole forward. At her stern is a triangular white flag with a symbol that resembles a medal. It appears to be a shield superimposed on an eight-sided almost circular background. the shield has a vertical triangular shape on it A duplicate negative produced by Saxons, 7 New Durham Road, Sunderland, in March 1972 from the original taken by Mr Stanley Hutchinson's father.
