Nagasaki waterfront

A colourised landscape photograph showing a waterfront, known as the Bund, in Nagasaki. The foreground of the image shows a body of water, and a wall made of stones to create a waterfront. Behind the stone wall there are a series of two storey buildings with grey square roofs and balconies on the first floor. Behind the houses there are some trees, and in the far distance some mountains. To the right of the image there is an orange bridge, crossing an opening in the stone wall. In the bottom left of the image in the water, there are three wooden boats, along with ‘(H28)’ written in pen. Original caption in pen underneath the photograph: ‘Nagasaki. The Bund.’
