Two Japanese women dressing
A colourised landscape photograph showing two Japanese women dressing. Both women are kneeling or crouching on a wooden floor. The woman in the centre of the image is facing the camera and wiping her neck with a cloth in her right hand. The women towards the right of the image is probably looking in a mirror, the back of which is visible. It stands on a cabinet with drawers to the far right of the image. Both women have patterned garments wrapped round their bodies but have bare shoulders. Various bowls and other vessels, possibly containing cosmetics, are arranged around them on the floor and cabinet. Behind them is a screen with images of animals and a tree painted on it. Original caption (within photograph): 'Dressing'.
