Tower Bridge

A grey wash drawing of Tower Bridge with its bascules raised, by the marine artist William Lionel Wyllie (1851-1931). Wyllie produced huge numbers of studies of the Thames and its craft and Tower Bridge was one of his favourite subjects. In 1894 he and his wife had been present at its opening.
