Gravestones at Hiroshima

A black and white landscape photograph showing Japanese tombstones, probably at Hiroshima. A strip of bare ground and rubble can be seen in the immediate foreground. At least fifty tombstones, clustered together, can be seen behind this. These are square columns on plinths. Many have Japanese characters (probably names of the deceased) on them. Several two-storey wooden buildings can be seen behind the tombstones, with a telegraph pole and wires in the background. This photograph is on a page (showing ALB1760.111-120) captioned 'HIROSHIMA. 1953.' in its centre.
