The Island of Arran, Scotland
Possibly a view of Goat Fell on the island of Arran which lies between the Firth of Clyde and the Mull of Kintyre on the west coast of Scotland, although the landscape depicted appears to be rather more rugged than it actually is. In 1889 the Wyllies cruised off the west coast of Scotland in their new yacht 'Grey Mare', which had just been built on the Clyde.
