HMS 'Bellerophon' at Portsmouth

This is Portsmouth in late 1908 or early 1909. The battleship is the 'Bellerophon', launched from No. 5 Slip at Portsmouth on 27 July 1907, which commenced her trials in October 1908 and commissioned for the Home Fleet on 20 February 1909. The view is south towards the harbour entrance, with No. 5 Slip on the left and the royal yacht 'Victoria & Albert' (1899) berthed on the South Slip Jetty of the dockyard. HMS 'Victory' is behind to the right on her mooring towards the Gosport side of the harbour. The sketch of the 'Bellerophon' is a little inaccurate: the bridge is undetailed, the tripods are too tall and the control tops are too small.
