Teutonic
Medium includes graphite. This presumably shows the ship iced up on the north Atlantic run after she came into service in 1889 and presumably rendering assistance to the American schooner in the foregraound fling the stars and stripes upside-down as a mark of distress. It may be an illustration for a periodical such as the 'Graphic' or 'Illustrated London News' but the incident remains to be identified.
