'Whitby'
A view across Whitby harbour at low water, possibly at dawn. There are two fishing boats, possibly Scottish, moored in the River Esk in the foreground, and to the right of them what may be a Yorkshire coble (with a mast). Above on the left is the church of St Mary the Virgin. This watercolour may be a replica, or otherwise related to the oil painting Wyllie exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1922, 'Whitby: low water'.
