John Jervis, Earl St Vincent, 1735-1823
A half-length portrait to left of John Jervis, Earl of St Vincent (1752–1820), in a dark coat with the star of the Order of the Bath, seated in a chair. Lettered lower right with the etcher’s name and date: ‘M. H. G. Jervis, 31 October 1816’. This etching was made by Martha Honora Georgiana Jervis in 31 October 1816. Martha Honora Georgiana Jervis was the great-niece of the sitter. (Updated June 2019.)
