Etat malheureux du Quebeck et de la Surveillante Vaisseau de Guerre Francois. Collection des Prospects
Technique includes engraving. Apparently a 'vue d'optique' print from which the reversed title usually found at the top is missing: see for example PAF4644. Like the latter is was published at Augsburg, possibly from a derivative Paton print of the 'Quebec' and 'Surveillante' in the War of American Independence. Paton probably painted this in oil originally (unlocated): the Museum has another oil version of it by Robert Dodd.
