The Danish text under the engraving reads 'The brig "Lougen", under the command of Premier Lieutenant Wulff, gives - after a lively skirmish, from 7a.m. to 11 pm, March 14th 1808, outside Christiansand - a larger english brig its entire set of cannons right at its bow, which immediately caused its flight'
