A beach seascape with a resort building, Le Croisic
This view was previously titled 'Seafront, Le Croisic' where Everett did a large number of sea studies in oil but apparently none of the historic town (on the southern point of Quiberon Bay, lower Brittany). It is inscribed 'Le C' on the reverse but may be round the headland to the south of Le Croisic towards Batz, where there are many such places giving views broadly south-west over the Bay of La Baule as the apparently sinking sun to the west suggests. Whether the building is a restaurant or hotel is unclear, but it is a substantial establishment - but apparently either closed or without any sign of human life, so perhaps out of season.
