Bude Harbour
A broad vista showing Bude Harbour. Bude is a small seaside resort town on the borders of North Devon and Cornwall. Several Brixham trawlers with their distinctive red sails are shown near the jetty in the centre of the painting. A number of figures are on the jetty either walking, or preparing to bathe.
The painting shows the empty beaches and unspoilt coastline beyond the harbour where only a few houses are visible on the headland.
The painting is signed ‘Allan’.
