The Dutch fleet at anchor in a breeze

The Dutch fleet at anchor in a breeze. In the left foreground is a view from slightly on the starboard bow of a private ship. On the right is a starboard bow view of a ship with flag at the main and pendant at fore, hoisting her fore topsail. To starboard is a small sprit-rigged yacht with the wind on the port quarter. In the centre distance is a starboard broadside view of a ship with flag and pendant at the main.

Corrections to the topsail yards of the ship on the left have been made with pen and black ink, and much of the drawing has been strengthened and altered with wash, some of it perhaps by a later hand.
