Portrait of the 'Charles'

The 'Charles' , yacht (8 guns, built in 1675 and wrecked in 1678), viewed from the port quarter. Four wreathed ports forward; a narrow light in the cabin below the half-deck, and a square light on the quarter.

The tail of an 'S' still remains of a cut inscription.
