Two English ships lying alongside each other

Two English ships alongside each other. A near view of the starboard bow, the nearer ship being shown only as far aft as the cathead, the further ship as far aft as the break of the forecastle.

It is freely but very accurately drawn, much in the manner of the Younger; but the inscription is by the Elder and the drawing can be equally by his best late work.
