One of the Lords of his Majties most Honoble Privy Council and Knight of the most Honourable Order of the Bath. This Plate of his Majties Ship the Barfleur is most humbly Inscribed." Also part of the inscription: "In aequore Victor Primus Caesareis pelagi Decus addidit armis. The engraving of the 'Royal Anne', in the same series as this of the 'Barfleur', is inscribed below: "T Baston F1721". Thus this picture is likely to show the 'Barfleur' after rebuild in 1716. She is depicted on the right-hand side of the composition.
Line engraving (hand-coloured).
Bound with PAG6933-PAG6940, PAG6942-PAG6954.; Plate No.9.; Page No.9.
