Coloured aquatint showing the wreck of Les Droits de L'Homme (1794), a French ship chased ashore by the British ship Indefatigable. Inscribed: 'Destruction of Le Droits de L'Homme, showing her situation at Daybreak as forced onshore by the two Frigates in Hodierne Bay near Brest, with the Indefatigable under a press of sail haul'd to clear the land, and throwing up rockets as signals to her consort the Amazon which was unfortunately wrecked at some distance from the enemy's ship'.
