Seascape: a ship under full sail
[Image currently flipped] A starboard-side, leeward view of a ship-rigged three-master with all sail set to upper topgallants, on a beam wind from out of the picture plane. It appears to be iron or steel from general lines, and apparently has a very dark grey or black hull with black-painted false ports on a white girdling band that might indicate a vessel of the Devitt & Moore company. Signed 'John Everett' , lower right.See also BHC2448. [PvdM 2/18]
