The 'Beagle' at Anchor under Circular Head
The account of the ‘Beagle’’s third voyage “Discoveries in Australia” by John Lort Stokes, published by T & W Boone, has many illustrations by Gore. It is possible that both this and PAH0067 were sketches by him that were not used for this purpose. Inscribed at the bottom right hand side, “‘Beagle’ at anchor under Circular Hd. Bass Straits” (see vol. I, p.274).
