The Gazelle The Property of the Hull & London Steam Packet Company entering the Humber
Port view of the single-funnel paddle steamer The Gazelle entering the river Humber. Although the vessel has fore and aft masts, the sails are furled as the ship is under steam. The Gazelle was owned by the Hull & London Steam Packet Company and the company flag is flying from the fore mast. Other unidentified flags are flying from the aft mast and its gaff. A number of people are shown on the deck. Several small vessels are visible in the distance as is a light house on the land, possibly Spurn Point.
