This hand-coloured lithograph is plate 6 of the series, Fore's Marine Sketches (incscribed above the image). Below it is inscribed: 'The Schooner Yacht Alarm R.Y.S. 248 tons. From the Original Picture in the possession of Joseph Weld Esqr. Lulworth Castle, Dorset. The Alarm as a cutter of 193 tons, won in 1830 ..." The inscription details further wins before concluding: "In 1852 the Alarm was lengthened by the Bow 20 feet & rigged as a schooner".
