This hand-coloured aquatint gives a port broadside view of Mellish, under topsails and jib only, entering Sydney harbour under a light following wind. She is flying the Red Ensign at her stern. Figures can be seen on the deck and a small rowing boat is alongside. A small town surrounded by countryside can be seen in the background, while in the foreground there are four nude indigenous figures, carrying spears, observing the scene.
