A small armed flute is in port lee-quarter view with the wind free. Under her bow can be seen the stern of one flute and the bow of another, both in stays. In the right middle distance is a ship under her fore course. A large number of ships are at anchor in the background.

This drawing is attributed to the Younger with much hesitation; the wash, though lightly handled, might be by the Elder, but the accurate pencil-work in the distance seems too well done for him. It is approximately dated by the subject and the style, but the watermark suggests a later date.
