A States yacht lying at a pile
A port-broadside view of a gaff-rigged States yacht lying at a pile with the mainsail and foresail loosed.
Drawn on the back is a study of part of a Dutch merchant ship shown in port-bow view. There are no mast shown and it is cut abaft the main channels. It is a faint offset rubbed on the back but the few touches of pencil are very probably by the Younger.
Robinson doubtfully attributes this drawing to the Younger. The pencil-work is slight but accurate, and the handling of the wash in the light and shade of the pile and fore part of the yacht suggests his work. It is very approximately dated by the style.
