A Dutch flagship close-hauled in a breeze

A lee-bow view of a ship close-hauled on the starboard tack under topsails and mizzen and a fore course with sheets and tacks started. It has a flag at the fore and a pendant at the main.

A faint offset, not rubbed on the back, broadly drawn and of doubtful period. In the Boymans, Museum, Rotterdam (180) there is a drawing on the same paper dated 1681.
