Portrait of the 'Princess'

Viewed slightly before the starboard beam, a portrait of the ‘Princess’, 54-gun fourth-rate, built 1660, broken up 1680.

One of two drawings of ships (PAH3900) in which the construction of the head, the fullness of the bow and the tumble-home at the gun deck level changing to the straighter side at the upper deck have been very accurately expressed.
