A near view from before the starboard beam of a ship before a light breeze under fore course and fore and main topsails. The main topgallant is loosed on the cap. There are long pendants at each masthead. There is an awning over the quarterdeck.
This drawing is very approximately dated 1675 by the style. Another drawing on the same paper is dated 1681 and this is possibly a drawing made on the occasion of Charles II’s visit to the ‘Tiger’, at Woolwich, 1681.
