Opening of the Newport Docks 10th October 1842

This print was advertised in 'The Monmouthshire Merlin' (Newport, XIV(DCCXVII), November 26, 1842), upon its publication as follows:
'OPENING OF THE NEWPORT DOCK
on MONDAY Next, will be Published,
A LITHOGRAPHIC PRINT, from a Drawing sketched on the spot, by J. WALTER, of Bristol, Marine Painter, and Lithographed by R. Pocock, accurately representing the Opening of the NEWPORT DOCK, on the 10th of October last, with Portraits of the Vessels that entered on that occasion.
Size of the Print, 14 inches by 10, price 3s.
To be had at the principle [sic] Stationers and Booksellers in Newport, Cardiff, Chepstow, Monmouth, Abergavenny, &c., and at the Office of this Paper.'
