Sir Richard Leveson (1570-1605)

A full-length portrait, slightly to the left, showing Leveson in black doublet and hose with a white collar. His left hand rests on his hip above a gold-hilted sword; his right rests on a cane. Behind him on the shore is an anchor and beyond, at sea, is a ship of the early eighteenth century.
Richard Leveson was a volunteer in the ‘Ark Royal’ during the Armada campaign.
