A Dutch flagship broad reaching in a breeze

A view from close under the lee (port) bow of a ship with a wind on the starboard quarter under fore course, topsails and a mizzen half brailed up. It carries a flag at the main and a pendant at the mizzen. There is a jack at the mizzen peak as the signal for order of battle.

According to Robinson this drawing may have been done in London despite the Dutch subject, though it could be later.
