On the right is a distant view from the north-east of Sheerness fort. The land stretches along to some higher ground on the left. Three galliots are at anchor close inshore.

The drawing is inscribed ‘mijn kidts’ (my ketch): the ketch is not shown but the drawing might be made from it. It is roughly dated by the watermark.
