Two doggers and a ship at anchor in a harbor

On the left is a starboard-quarter view of two doggers at anchor. The nearer one is sprit-rigged, the other has a standing gaff, topsail and small lateen mizzen. In the left foreground there are several State barges; in the centre is a starboard-quarter view of a ship and, on the right is a small craft with land beyond.

The drawing bears a false signature ‘W.V.V.J.’ of the Younger van de Velde.
